Story Time with Boomer – Wednesday, November 20

STUDENT OF THE MONTH –  Xavier is helpful, funny, and nice.

THEMES – Animals, Family, Thanksgiving

SHOW-N-TELL – (Must be small enough to fit in their desk or book bag)  No weapons.

I allow the children to bring in an item that they like to share. It does not need to be theme based.

LANGUAGE ART – We will be identifying our upper and lower case letters J j, K k, and L l, as well as learning how to write the letters independently while learning what the letter sounds are and learning words that start with those letters.  Locating and identifying periods, exclamation marks, and question marks.  Learning to locate the title of a book.

MATH – We will be learning how to count to 100 by 5′s.  Number recognition 1- 25.  Rectangle – identify and draw.  Counting backwards from 12 to 0.  Patterns.  Writing numbers 1 -10.

SCIENCE Changes in weather.  Describing positions of an object.  Left and Right. Animals – Wild, Zoo, Farm, Pets

SOCIAL STUDIES – Days of the week – Today, Tomorrow, and Yesterday.  Who is in your family?  What makes families different?  Thanksgiving Holiday
