LANGUAGE ARTS – Sight word list below. Please help them practice their sight words at home as well. The more sight words they can read, the faster and more fluent readers they will become. We will also work on letter recognition for both uppercase and lowercase letters. We will continue to learn our letter sounds and beginning and ending sounds.  We will learn to identify periods, exclamation points, and question marks, as well as the author, illustrator and title of a book.

MATH – We will continue counting 1 to 100 and skip counting by 10’s and 5’s.  We will also be writing and recognizing numbers 1 to 100 and learning our ordinal numbers.

SCIENCE – What organisms need to live.

SOCIAL STUDIES – Age and birthday.  Identify ways to improve the environment.
