About me

Hello! My name is Johniece Bronson. I have been with Kennedy Academy since September 2016. I started as the aide and recently took the Lead Teacher position in the P1 classroom. I look forward to getting to know the children and families and am very excited to have a classroom of my own!

August 4-  NO SCHOOL
Monday Favorite Color Day (wear your favorite color to school)
Tuesday Dress as your favorite sport or sports team
Wednesday Dress Yourself Day (let your child pick out their own outfit, no matter how crazy it looks)
ThursdayFun Hat Day (any hat works, if you don’t have one, make one)
Friday–  Favorite Stuffed Animal/PJ Day (Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed animal)
August 18- Parents Night at 6 pm  (Come meet your child’s teacher, get classroom information, etc.)

Show and Tell: will be twice a month when bringing show and tell PLEASE have the toy initialed or given directly to me so the children’s toys do not get mixed up. NO WEAPONS.

Language Arts:

We will be working on name packs that have various activities in a bag that help the children spell,trace and identify their names,one of my biggest goals this year is for the children starting to write their names we also have a letter and color of the month and i have fun/art activities as well as tracing and manipulative activities for the children to learn and identify the colors and letters of the month. This month is the letter Aa and the color Red.


Counting 1-20,when they exceed 20 we will continue to count higher.

Summer Activities:
Students will participate in circle time each day, along with tracing and/or writing activities. When there are not scheduled special activities, the students will participate in the Garden and Fitness activities as outlined by the grant we received from the food program for the summer. Please see your child’s teacher for a more detailed outline of the summer events.

REMINDER: Students must have sunscreen applied to them in the morning prior to coming to school. We will then reapply in the afternoon before going outdoors.

Our Class Splash Day will start July 12th! Our SPLASH DAYS will be EVERY WEDNESDAYand FRIDAY. Please send your child in their swimsuit with an extra change of clothes.

Language Arts: We love learning our letters. We will also work on tracing. We do shape and color recognition every day at circle time. We are continuing to learn to recognize our names in print.

Math: We will continue to count numbers to 20. We are working with flash cards/white board numbers at circle time every day to help. 

Science/Social Studies/Art: We enjoy planning art activities around the themes. We will also read books about nursery rhymes, circus, and families.
