About me

Hello. My name is TyJanae' Smith. I am the P2 Lead Teacher. I have an associates degree from Washburn University and soon will have my bachelor's degree. I plan to continue on with my education with a master's in pediatric social work. I have experience working with young children in another childcare facility, as well as at Family Service and Guidance Center, and at Camp War Eagle. I look forward to getting to know each of your children and help them learn!

Language Arts: We love our Animated Alphabet and will be continuing it. We will also work on tracing skills/writing skills. We do shape and color recognition every day at circle time. We are continuing to learn the spelling of our names.

Math: We will be doing more math worksheets and trying to get our recognition of the numbers 0-20 mastered. We are working with flash cards/white board numbers at circle time every day to help. 

Science/Social Studies/Art: We enjoy planning art activities and science activities around the themes. We will also read books about nursery rhymes, circus, and families. We have a special surprise for the father figures for the children. 

REMINDER: Students must have sunscreen applied to them in the morning prior to coming to school. We will then reapply in the afternoon before going outdoors.
