Complete the Student Information form (download the Enrollment form here) and pay the $50.00 non-refundable enrollment fee (cash or money order only please).

Tuition:
$145/week – We are a full-time program Monday through Friday. Discounts available for military and multi-child. DCF Accepted.

Hours of Operation:
6:30 am – 5:30 pm
School begins promptly at 8:30 am.

Additional Information:
Kennedy Academy accepts children from the ages of 2 1/2 years through Kindergarten.

Children must be potty trained.

Language Arts:

This month we are going to be focusing on writing more. We are going to work on writing their names with the proper capitals and lower case letters. We are also going to be reading more. I will be testing the class on their sight words and seeing how fast the students can read.

Math:

This month we are going to be working more on telling time and adding money. Most of the class has mastered the coin values, so we can start putting coins together and adding the amounts. We are also going to be learning about fractions (half, whole, fourths, thirds).

Science/Social Studies:

This month we are starting the month with our weather/seasons unit. The class will be learning about different types of weather and learning to match the weather with the proper seasons.

We will also be studying plants this month. We will be growing plants in the classroom and journaling about what we see.

We are going to learn about riding safety during the week of the trike-a-thon and doing activities to help the class understand how to be safe on their bikes.

We also have Earth day and Easter this month. So, we will be doing activities to celebrate the holidays. We will be learning about recycling and how to help protect the Earth.

We are learning about insects at the end of the month. The class will be studying bugs and different types of arachnids. We will also be learning about he life cycle of the butterfly.

Language Arts: We will finish up our alphabet this month and begin focusing on sounds and blending them into simple words. I am going to try one and two letter sight words and building on that to do more. I’ll send a note home and post it in our kennedy academy e3 class Facebook page as well. It will have more details. We are also going to focusing writing letters and working on spelling and writing our last names.

Math: We will continue to work on number recognition, especially the teens. Along with that we will be doing more hands on activities involving counting and counting on, such as fill in the next number. We have done a few “games” and they have caught on quickly.

Science: This is going to be a fun month with St. Patrick’s Day, the solar system, and weather/seasons. We will be doing a lot of activities with colors for St. Patrick’s Day, sensory bins and hands on activities for the other themes. Just a heads up, we will be getting messy this month. Your child may come with stained hands from paint.
