This month we will be learning about “th,” the short vowel “u,” and the “ng” sound.  These spelling tests will be more difficult than tests of the past.  Please be sure you are helping your child study at home.

This month we will be learning more about money, adding, and place value.  Although we have already been working on these concepts each day during circle time, we will now have them included in our daily work.

This month we will be learning about dinosaurs.  The kids will be learning about different types of dinosaurs, what time periods they lived in, and how scientists think they may have died.  They will also learn what “extinct” means.

Social Studies:

We are going to be learning about the true meaning of Christmas.  We will be talking about the birth of Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas.

**We will be spending a lot of time working on our Christmas program in the afternoon.  Please encourage your children to do their best during practice so they can do great for you during the program.
