THEMES  *Letters G g, H h, I i  *Food Pyramid  *Calendar  *Shape – Triangle

SHOW-N-TELL (Must be small enough to fit in their desk or book bag)  No weapons.

I allow the children to bring in an item that they like to share. It does not need to be theme based.

LANGUAGE ART – We will be identifying our upper and lower case letters G g, H h, and I i, as well as learning how to write the letters independently while learning what the letter sounds are and learning words that start with those letters.  Identifying periods, exclamation marks, and question marks.  We will learn to recognize the difference between letters and words.

MATH – We will be learning how to count to 100 by 5′s and 10′s.  Understanding patterns.  Triangle shape – identify and draw.

SCIENCE –  We will learn if objects are alike or different.  What’s in the sky?

SOCIAL STUDIES – Days of the week – Today, Tomorrow, and Yesterday.  Topeka is the city I live in.  Kansas is the state I live in.  Months of the Year – Major Holidays.  Individual differences.
