Language Arts:  This month we are going to be learning about the letter “y”.  We will be learning words that have the long vowel “e” sound spelled with a “y”.  We will also be working on the long vowel “I” used in words with a “sneaky e” at the end. 

Math:  This month we are going to be focusing on telling time.  We will be learning to tell time on an analog clock.  We are also going to be learning about cubes, prisms, pyramids, spheres, and cones.  This month we will also be working on counting by 2s.  Word problems are also something we are going to be learning about this month. 

Science:  This month we are going to be learning all about plants.  The kids will get to experience planting seeds and watching them grow.  They will be caring for their plant each day and keeping a journal showing the changes.  We will be studying the parts of the plant.

Social Studies:  This month we will be discussing the different types of transportation.  We are also going to be talking about the different types of communication.  This month is also Easter, so we will be learning the Biblical reasons behind Easter and why we celebrate it.
