Important dates:  June 8-12- testing
June 18th- last day of school
June 19th- No School, All-School Picnic and Graduation
June 22- Summer Care Begins

Show and Tell-
June 5- Something BIG and small
June 12- free choice
June 19- no school
June 26- free choice
Language Arts- For our final week of school we will be learning the long vowel o sound. We are also going to be doing a lot of end of the year writing. As we wrap of the year, the students will be preparing for their “big” schools.
Math- For the last couple weeks of school we will be doing a lot of subtraction, fractions, and even double digit addition. The students will be preparing for their final testing of the year as well.
Science- We will be talking about insects in June. The class will be doing a lot of explorations and looking at nature as the weather gets warm and we spend more time outdoors.
Social Studies- We are going to be learning about dads this month. We will be talking about why we love our dads and will be making them a father’s day gift.
Please remember as the school year wraps up that we need a 30 day notice of your child’s last day.

My name is Jessica Wilson. I have been working here at Kennedy Academy since 2006. I am the kindergarten teacher in the E4 classroom. I have my bachelors degree in elementary education from Emporia State University. I also have three children of my own.
