Science/Social Studies:  This month we will be learning about different types of writing, particularly Fairy and Folk Tales.  We are going to be learning about Martin Luthor King Jr. and other famous Americans.  We are also going to be learning about Kansas.  We will be talking about the state mammal, tree, bird, etc.  The class will be learning about why Kansas has a birthday and we will be celebrating it.

We are also going to be celebrating the 100th day of school on Monday, January 11.  We will be doing several 100th day activities.
