Language Arts:  We are going to be learning Y as vowel E and long vowel I.  This month is also third quarter testing which will include testing over all sight words learning in the previous 12 weeks as well as testing over all letters and sounds.  This will also be our first reading speed test to see how fast each child can read.   

Math:  This month we will continue working on our workbooks, practicing our skills in addition and subtraction, as well as fractions, money, and telling time.  

Science/Social Studies:  We are going to be learning about our solar system this month.  We are going to be learning about the planets and stars.  We are also going to start our unit on weather and the seasons.  We will be learning about how the weather changes in the seasons.  We are also going to be learning about different types of natural disasters.

My name is Jessica Wilson. I have been working here at Kennedy Academy since 2006. I am the kindergarten teacher in the E4 classroom. I have my bachelors degree in elementary education from Emporia State University. I also have three children of my own.
