Language ArtsWe will keep focusing on spelling and sight words this month. I have some new ideas to incorporate into our daily practice so I’m hoping everyone has fun with it while learning.

Math: We will keep working on skip counting 2’s and 5’s this month. The 5’s are almost mastered. Also we will begin working hard on ordinals such as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. We are a visual bunch so we are going to try some games.

Science/Social Studies:  This month is our weather and seasons month. Everyone has a pretty good understanding of the seasons and the weather that goes along with it so it should be a fun two weeks. We are going to be doing a lot of hands on activities so they can visually learn it.

We are also doing our unit on the Earth and recycling this month.  The class will be learning about what they can do to help our environment.   They will also be learning what it means to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

We are finishing out the month with our plant lesson.  We have seedling growing in our room now that should be ready to plant at the end of the month. We will talk a lot about different types of plants and get dirty with a few fun projects I have in mind.

FYI: My Remind app is NOT working. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it 3 times and it just refuses to work on my phone.

I want to start a private Facebook group but want to get input from parents. I would post all 4000(just kidding) pics I’ve taken of the kiddos and post them there and any announcements as well. Please let me know if this is something that you would use.
