January News

Important Dates:

January 29th: Kansas’s birthday

Focus of the Month: Identifying letters A-D

Student of the Month: Haven

Theme: The theme for the whole month of January is Geography. We will be learning about things around the town as well as the state of Kansas since it is Kansas’s birthday this month.

Language Arts: This month we will start working on identifying letters in our names. Identifying letters in our names will be done through multiple hands-on activities. Also we will be identifying letters A-D. We will work on that during circle time each day by using our materials that we got through the grant.

Math: The month of January we will start working hard on identifying numbers 1-5. We will do a bunch of activities that involve matching the number to that number of objects. Also we will start working on patterns. Using objects throughout the class will help us make multiple kinds of patterns.
